Camp Theme: Building Foundations Through Christ

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation

Helaman 5:12

At camp this year, we will focus on how we can become disciple of Jesus Christ by letting our light shine.

3. Who may come:

Camp is for all young women eligible to participate in the Young Women    program. Non-members who are willing to abide by Church standards may also be included. Leaders should determine which young women will be old enough by the date of the camp and invite them to participate. Parents and leaders may counsel together on any exceptions to the age guideline with consideration of maturity and peer relationships. (See Handbook 2: Administering the Church [2010], 10.8.6.)

 4. Camp rules: Please go over these camp rules with your YW and parents. They are BOTH               required to sign them. With our YW camping in levels, these forms

will be important for us to refer back to in case of any disciplinary issues. Please take extra care in making sure they have gone over them and signed them.

5. Forms: All forms are due by April 6, 2025Located at concordstakeywcamp.org

  • Physical Form- ONLY if needed -- see registration form

  • Camp Nurse Document - Read and Signed by Parents

PLEASE remember that everything about camp is dependent upon these forms.  We cannot proceed with ordering and preparing without a clear knowledge of who is attending. PLEASE handout, collect, and pass in your forms as soon as possible to allow us to continue the planning process of young women’s camp.  Thank you!

6. Camp Cost: $55.00/girl (+$10.00 late fee if paid after May 10, 2025)

7. YCL’s: These are your 5th and 6th year girls who help the stake leaders run girl’s camp. We are very excited to be working with these incredible YW in helping them develop leadership skills.  Please verify and let us know as soon as possible who your YCL’s are as we will begin working with them soon.

8. 4th Year Trip: This is a special trip for our 4th year girls. They will use their skills that they have been learning for the past 3 years of girl’s camp in an adventure

with challenges and triumphs. The details of this trip is still yet to be determined.

Ward Responsibilities:

  • Have a parent meeting within the next couple weeks to discuss the paperwork, go over the rules and expectations, and get excited…. let your YW know how great and important camp is.

  • Talk with your bishop/branch president and decide how you will fund girl’s camp this year, schedule a fundraiser if needed, and collect the money.  Make sure that your YW families make their checks out to the unit and then your unit clerk will cut one check for all the girls to be sent into the stake. Money due to the stake will be by May 10, 2025.

Please make sure your bishoprics are aware of Bishops Night (TBD).  They are invited to enjoy a short campfire program with us. Then bishoprics will have a time with their own unit to share a special fireside program with them. Make sure bishoprics are aware to have a fireside prepared and a dessert to share with the girls.
